Dr. Reza Zeinali
Scientific profile
Dr. Reza Zeinali received his PhD in Chemical Engineering (Polymers and Biopolymers)
from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). His doctoral studies were focused on
design and development of biodegradable porous scaffolds via thermally-induced
phase separation (TIPS) technique for Tissue Engineering and Drug Delivery
applications. Reza has a background in Materials Science and Engineering and
Biomedical Engineering (Biomaterials), with experience in processing, micro/macro-fabrication and characterization of functional biomaterials. The main focus of his
postdoctoral research at Molecular and Industrial Biotechnology Group (GBMI) is
specifically on developing innovative nano-enabled stimuli-responsive matrices,
serving as targeted antimicrobial delivery systems.
