Dr. Rosa Miralles

Scientific profile

Dr. Rosa Miralles Llumà graduated with Honours in Chemistry from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB, Spain), where she also obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry.  Her Ph.D. thesis is about the rational design, synthesis and study of the mode of action of nucleoside analogues as antiviral agents. She has a strong background in organic synthesis of bioactive compounds as well as in molecular modelling techniques for drug discovery purposes. She has participated in 4 research projects funded by the Spanish Ministry and has also performed an international stay at Hamburg Universität, acquiring experience in medicinal chemistry projects.
