Dr. Petya Petkova

Scientific profile

Dr. Petya Petkova graduated from University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy (Sofia, Bulgaria) in  Biotechnology and obtained her PhD in "Polymers and Biopolymers" from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. During her PhD she participated in the international collaborative project SONO, aimed at developing a pilot line of antibacterial and antifungal medical textiles based on a sonochemical process. Currently Dr. Petkova is interested in nanomaterials science, functionalisation of biopolymers and sonochemistry.
